Add complete testing infrastructure that validates clients in: 1. CLI MODE: Test as standalone command-line tool - Argument parsing (--help, --version) - File execution (un.py code.py) - Environment variables (-e VAR=val) - Commands (execute, session, service) 2. LIBRARY MODE: Test as importable SDK - Client object creation - Method availability (execute, create_session) - Authentication/HMAC generation - Return types and data structures 3. INTEGRATION MODE: Test API contract validation - Valid/invalid authentication (200/401) - Language support verification - Error handling (rate limits, timeouts) - Artifacts and file operations - Environment variable passing 4. FUNCTIONAL MODE: Real-world usage scenarios - Fibonacci calculation - Data analysis (pandas, etc.) - Web requests (semitrusted mode) - File I/O operations - Subprocess handling - JSON parsing - Error handling - Async/await code Added: - TEST-TEMPLATES.md: Complete test templates for Python, Go, JavaScript (easily adaptable to all 42+ languages) - Test structure examples for each mode - Python pytest, Go testing, Jest patterns - Integration patterns for API validation - Functional test scenarios - Enhanced Makefile with multi-mode targets: - make test-python: All 4 modes for Python - make test-python-cli: Only CLI mode - make test-python-library: Only Library mode - make test-all-cli: CLI for all languages - make test-all: All modes for all languages - make test-integration-all: Cross-language API validation How it works: - Each client implementation tests as CLI AND library - Integration validates auth, error codes, API contract - Functional tests prove real-world usage works - Makefile targets guide developers to create per-language tests - CI can run all 4 modes or specific modes on changes

# Test Templates for Multi-Mode Client Testing
Each UN client implementation must be tested in **4 modes**:
1. **CLI Mode**: Standalone command-line tool with argument parsing
2. **Library Mode**: Importable SDK for embedding in other code
3. **Integration Mode**: API contract validation (authentication, responses)
4. **Functional Mode**: Real-world usage scenarios

# Test: JSON parsing

const json = JSON.parse('{"key": "value"}');
console.log(json.key);
EOF
grep -q "value" && echo "✓ JSON parsing"

# Test: HTTP requests

EOF

grep -q "Caught" && echo "✓ Error handling"
```
## Testing Execution Flow
### Local Development
```bash
# Run all test types for Python
make test-python # Runs all 4 modes
make test-python-cli # CLI mode only
make test-python-library # Library mode only
make test-python-integration # Integration mode only
make test-python-functional # Functional mode only
# Run specific test file
pytest tests/test_un_py_cli.py -v
pytest tests/test_un_py_library.py -v
```
### CI Pipeline
```bash
# For each changed client (e.g., clients/python/):
1. CLI tests (parsing, help, basic execution)
2. Library tests (imports, object creation, methods)
3. Integration tests (API authentication, error handling)
4. Functional tests (real-world code examples)
```
### Test Results
Each test mode produces:
- **CLI**: Execution success/failure, output validation
- **Library**: Import success, method availability, return types
- **Integration**: HTTP status codes, authentication validation
- **Functional**: Real-world code execution, data transformation
## Success Criteria Per Language
All 4 test modes must pass:
- ✓ CLI: `un.py --help`, `un.py code.py`, `un.py -e VAR=val`
- ✓ Library: `from un import Client`, `client.execute()`, `client.create_session()`
- ✓ Integration: Valid auth → 200, invalid auth → 401, all languages work
- ✓ Functional: Fibonacci, data parsing, file I/O, error handling, async code
Feature parity across all 42 languages guaranteed.
