I'm excited to apply for the Senior Software Engineer - Application and Language Frameworks position at Chime. With over 15 years building & scaling distributed systems—including extensive AWS experience with SQS, SNS, ElastiCache, RDS, & ECS—I bring deep expertise in messaging, caching, & low-latency data-sharing platforms. At Remind, I managed infrastructure supporting millions of teachers & students, implementing pub/sub patterns with SQS, optimizing Redis caching strategies, & scaling critical services during COVID-19 lockdowns using CloudFormation & infrastructure-as-code. I've also contributed to Ruby-based tooling (SlashDeploy at Remind enabled GitHub deployments via Slack commands, pioneering automation before modern CI/CD platforms existed) & have strong Python experience across Flask, Pyramid, & async job processing systems.
